Memorial Meeting for Worship
Held at the Miller Center at Friends House on April 6th
There is a recording. If you are friends or family, please see the “Contact Us” page to request to view.
David’s family welcomes you to this hybrid Memorial Meeting for Worship to celebrate the life of David Greene. Some of us are present in the Miller Center at Friends House, and others are present online via Zoom.
We ask everyone of us to be mindful of the needs of others, wherever we are located. Cameras and microphones are in the Miller Center, and Zoom attendees will be muted to avoid noise distractions. On Zoom, please remember to unmute before you speak. And mute again when you are done.
In the Quaker tradition, we will settle into waiting worship to settle ourselves. This helps us center down to the seed of the Divine presence, to open ourselves to what we wish to express. The family welcomes this opportunity for us all to share stories and memories about David and his rich life among us. Please be mindful that others may also have things to share. After one person speaks, please allow a little space after that message for the meaning to be absorbed by the rest of us. It is equally welcome to share silently what is in your heart.
At the appropriate time, we will conclude this celebration of David’s life by the shaking of hands We will greet all those in attendance, both on Zoom and in the Miller Center. After a few closing remarks, there will be an opportunity for those in the Miller Center to personally greet and support family members and friends.
The Zoom link will be maintained for awhile, but muted in the Miller Center, so those on Zoom can talk with each other. David’s brief biography is in this program. The program also will be shared in the Zoom Chat site, for those who do not have a physical program. We expect to record the worship for those who cannot be with us.
